A 1950's sofa, an Art Deco armchair or piece of 1970's Retro.... all of these have doubled in value over the last five years. A good quality piece of furniture would even have tripled. Clever buying now is certainly money in the bank.
The imported pieces that we have recently brought in from the USA are even more collectable.
